KATHY’S KORNER
Our Food Pantry has had a very busy month, and my volunteers and I are running more than a little short of food for our clients. We could use your help! We need to renew our supply of canned soups, canned fruit, spaghetti pasta and sauce, pancake mix and syrup. Our clients love dessert just as much as we do, so we could also use cake mixes, frosting, jello, and puddings. Condiments such as ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise are necessary for the upcoming summer months. DON’T FORGET OUR GARAGE SALE IN EARLY AUGUST! We will be collecting from now through to the time of the sale. God Bless You for your help!

ORDINATION OF THREE NEW PRIESTS
On Saturday, May 17th, Bishop Edward U. Kmiec will ordain Rev. Mr. James L. Fugle, Rev. Mr. James W. Kirkpatrick, and Rev. Mr. Robert W. Zilliox, Jr. as priests of the Diocese of Buffalo at St. Joseph Cathedral. We congratulate and pray for each of these men as they begin their vocation in service to God’s people.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES
As you know, Catholic Charities has not yet met the diocesan goal of $11.2 million. We are still about $857,000 short and want to do a Final Push for the success of Appeal 2008 on the weekend of May 17th & 18th. This important work brings hope in our Diocese for those who need it most. If you have not yet made your return, please consider being generous in helping us meet our goal by May 19th.
